Teams at HIAS

Lead cultivation and solicitation of high-net-worth donors, managing a major gifts portfolio ($25,000+ donors), create annual plans and benchmarks, prepare donor profiles and stewardship, collaborate with fundraising teams and leadership, analyze donor data, and support planned giving efforts to help meet a $30M unrestricted goal.

Support HIAS legal team by researching immigration law, drafting memoranda and filings, preparing client declarations and applications, assisting with asylum and humanitarian relief cases, maintaining records, and aiding Pro Bono teams in client interviews and case preparation during a 10–12 week paid internship.

Conduct desk reviews and on-site fiscal monitoring of subrecipients to assess accounting systems, internal controls, budget/expenditure reports, backup documentation, timesheets, and client files; prepare monitoring reports and recommendations; collaborate with program and grants teams to mitigate risks and strengthen financial management.
