The Accounting Specialist manages accounts payable, cash receipts, deposits, reconciliations, client allowance payments, vendor inquiries, financial records, monthly close support, reporting, and accounting procedures. The role requires accurate data entry, collaboration across departments, confidentiality, deadline management, and compliance with GAAP and organizational policies. This is an on-site, full-time position with occasional travel between locations.

Develops, implements, and evaluates accessible, person-centered curricula for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Designs lesson plans and learning activities focused on independence, social connection, community participation, career readiness, and adult life skills. Trains, coaches, and supports staff delivering programming; collaborates with families and multidisciplinary stakeholders; maintains curriculum documentation; collects outcome data; and continuously improves programs across locations.

Supports nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, community outreach, partnership development, event coordination, podcast guest logistics, presentation development, and communications. The intern researches fundraising practices, assists with annual appeal messaging and materials, secures community presentation opportunities, maintains outreach records, and provides administrative support. This is a three-month, part-time, on-site role requiring occasional evening and weekend assignments, travel between Helping Hand locations, and at least two years of relevant experience.

Graphic Design Intern creating print and digital materials for marketing, fundraising, recruitment, events, and community engagement. Responsibilities include developing branded content, preparing print-ready files, organizing creative assets, coordinating with production vendors, supporting events, and maintaining visual consistency and accessibility. The intern will collaborate with the creative team, manage deadlines, participate in critiques, and gain practical experience with Adobe tools, branding, prepress, and professional design workflows.

Produces and promotes podcast content in audio and video formats. Responsibilities include developing episode ideas, coordinating guests, operating audiovisual equipment, editing with Adobe Premiere, creating short-form social content, publishing to YouTube and Spotify, supporting email and social promotion, and organizing production materials. The intern also assists with fundraising events, organizational initiatives, project coordination, and community outreach while representing Helping Hand’s mission.
