Teams at HDL Research Lab Inc.

Designs and supports mechanical packaging, enclosures, structures, cooling systems, components, and fixtures for defense and aerospace power electronics. Performs thermal and structural FEA, develops test apparatuses and procedures, analyzes test data, maintains engineering documentation, leads design reviews, supports manufacturing, and collaborates with electrical, production, machine shop, and customer teams.

Design and develop power electronics for defense systems (converters, inverters, regulators, distribution). Perform circuit and system analysis, PCB layout, transformer/inductor design, troubleshooting, test automation, documentation, production support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers.

Lead design and development of rugged electronic power systems for defense/aerospace: create schematics, design transformers/inductors, perform PCB placement/routing, select parts, run electrical and failure analyses, build and execute test procedures, support production and customers, present designs, and mentor junior engineers.
