The Senior Design Manager oversees the design activities for educational facilities, manages projects from conception to approval, and coordinates with architects and district personnel to ensure compliance with standards and budget.

Perform independent plan checks for municipal public works projects, reviewing grading, streets, storm drain/hydrology, water, recycled water, and sewer plans for accuracy and agency compliance. Evaluate constructability and operability, track project budgets and milestones, prepare cost estimates, coordinate with agency staff, developers, engineers, inspectors and the public, and attend site visits and meetings as needed while meeting tight deadlines.

Lead K-12 and higher-education construction projects from planning through closeout. Serve as primary client contact, manage budgets/schedules, ensure DSA/code compliance, oversee contractors, mitigate risks, run meetings, and mentor project staff to deliver safe, on-time, on-budget facilities.
