Teams at Handshake

Prospect and build early-stage pipeline within federal and state & local government organizations. Navigate complex org structures, engage stakeholders, align Handshake solutions to government budgets and hiring priorities, and collaborate with account executives to drive awareness and opportunities for early talent recruitment.

Build and operate backend services, APIs, shared platform capabilities, and developer tooling for Handshake AI and internal AI initiatives. Responsibilities include service architecture, database design, performance, scalability, reliability, observability, and developer experience. The role contributes to LLM and agentic systems, including orchestration, evaluation, integrations, and failure handling. It also involves architectural decisions, incident response, cross-team collaboration, technical planning, code reviews, and mentoring engineers.

Design the foundational experience for an AI-native recruiting product. Own product design end to end, including user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, interaction patterns, and post-launch iteration. Partner with product, engineering, data, and adjacent design teams to simplify complex B2B workflows and shape how users interact with conversational AI, agents, and structured tools. Drive strong visual and interaction design while navigating ambiguity, rapid change, and early-stage product development.
