Supervises finance staff and oversees journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, monthly close activities, variance explanations, audit support, and general ledger administration. Maintains accounting software and finance procedures, resolves discrepancies, coordinates workflow, and supports departmental projects. The role includes hiring, training, performance management, work assignment, and quality review for accounting employees.

Manages an intermediate-to-complex commercial banking loan portfolio valued at $100 million or more. Performs credit analysis, underwriting, risk assessment, annual reviews, covenant monitoring, documentation review, regulatory compliance, and portfolio risk management. Partners with relationship managers, credit officers, legal counsel, and internal business teams to originate, maintain, and grow wholesale banking relationships. Supports client servicing, cross-selling, watch reporting, and special projects.

Investigates suspected fraud and suspicious banking activity, documents findings, files Suspicious Activity Reports, and performs supplemental reviews. The role mitigates losses by placing account holds, recommending closures, restricting payment channels, and coordinating with relationship officers, BSA/AML, corporate investigations, and senior bank officials. It also maintains case files and tracking reports, supports quality reviews and system testing, assists with staff training, and ensures compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, and banking recordkeeping requirements.
