Lead complex capital projects for Hamilton City Council from concept through completion, including planning, procurement, delivery, and handover. Manage budgets, contracts, risks, consultants, contractors, technical specialists, governance reporting, and stakeholder relationships. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. Projects may include renewals, facility upgrades, infrastructure, building, construction, and vertical infrastructure initiatives.

Prepares and analyzes financial and performance reports, dashboards, and insights for Hamilton City Council. Identifies trends, variances, and performance drivers; supports decision-making, reporting automation, and process improvement using Power BI and Excel. The role also integrates financial and non-financial information, collaborates with Finance Business Partners, responds to reporting queries, and communicates complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.

Lead funded and emerging transport infrastructure programmes, overseeing resources, project teams, controls, cost, schedule, risk, quality, commercial matters, governance, change and benefits. The role requires strong transport-sector knowledge, NZTA/Waka Kotahi funding expertise, stakeholder influence across local and central government, and the ability to mentor project managers and deliver complex capital programmes.
