Hands-on intern supporting electromagnetic design and analysis of electric motors. Responsibilities include building finite element models, sizing machines, developing Python analysis tools, conducting electromagnetic, thermal, and structural optimization studies, correlating simulations with dynamometer data, and documenting results.

Supports the design, simulation, testing, and validation of power electronics for electric propulsion systems. Responsibilities include developing PCB assemblies and wire harnesses, running MATLAB, LTspice, and Simulink analyses, troubleshooting hardware, operating high-voltage lab systems, evaluating prototypes, conducting root cause analysis, and preparing technical documentation and manufacturing instructions.

Design mechanical parts and assemblies for electric motor systems using SolidWorks. Perform structural, modal, thermal, fluid, and tolerance analyses; create ASME/GD&T drawings and bills of materials; support sourcing, prototyping, testing, validation, subsystem integration, and production builds. Interpret test results, identify root causes, recommend design improvements, and maintain safe processes and equipment.
