Paid two-month training program for structural steel assemblers in Saint-Gédéon-de-Beauce. Trainees alternate classroom theory with hands-on factory assembly and basic welding practice. Responsibilities include interpreting standard and angled plans and assembling columns, beams, and complex angular components. Candidates complete theoretical, spatial-reasoning, manual, magnetic, and Opti-test assessments. Successful participants receive a guaranteed Canam position and must commit to working at the plant for 24 months.

Perform varied production tasks supporting steel structural fabrication stages, handle large steel pieces using provided equipment, follow safety procedures, attend training, and work collaboratively on the evening shift (Mon–Thu).

Assembler and mark steel components per shop drawings. Perform oxy-fuel cutting, tack (spot) welding in preparation for full welds, and develop assembly jigs. Read and interpret plans, measure accurately (metric/imperial), and perform basic reading, writing, and arithmetic. Work evening shift Monday–Thursday.
