The Director of Special Projects will manage high-priority initiatives, build operational systems, and improve workflows to support organizational growth while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Support the Communications team with background research, drafting and distributing press releases and external materials, providing administrative support, attending events, and maintaining team materials for a fast-paced policy advocacy organization.

Paid fall policy internship supporting research, writing, and advocacy on economic issues (housing, consumer protection, labor, taxation, corporate power). Duties include drafting memos and briefs, tracking legislation and regulations, analyzing data and creating charts, supporting events, and assisting with reports, op-eds, and fact sheets.

Lead Groundwork's press and media operations and the Economic Speakers Bureau. Translate communications strategy into targeted media campaigns, manage a 2–4 person press team, cultivate media relationships, craft press materials, coordinate with digital and policy teams, and expand expert placements to shape national economic narratives.

Conduct substantive research and data analysis to support progressive economic policy; draft accessible policy products and visualizations; monitor legislation and literature; support events and team logistics; build relationships with partners and stakeholders; contribute to narrative and advocacy work.

Senior leader who will build and integrate external engagement, oversee partnerships, federal affairs, events, and advocacy; manage and develop a cross-functional team; translate strategy into targeted campaigns, coordinate with policy and communications, manage budgets, and ensure legal/compliance alignment for outreach and advocacy efforts.

Lead direct engagement with Congress and the executive branch, design outreach strategy, deepen relationships with committees and offices, craft persuasive policymaker materials, lead briefings and hearing prep, monitor legislative and executive activity, mentor Partnerships and Influence staff, and rapidly respond to congressional and executive developments.
