Provide first-line employee relations guidance across retail and corporate teams. Manage ER cases in a case management system, handle stakeholder communications, maintain accurate records, prepare letters, support ER administration and TUPE-related tasks, and escalate complex queries. The role requires knowledge of HR practices, payroll, compliance, GDPR, Workday HCM, data management, and Excel, along with strong prioritization and workload ownership.

Conducts risk-based internal audits as an independent third-line assurance function, evaluating controls, policies, procedures, governance, and management information. Develops audit plans and test programs, reports findings, monitors remediation, supports assurance mapping, and provides risk advice. The manager also mentors junior auditors, performs quality reviews, collaborates with senior stakeholders, and helps improve internal audit methodology and capability.

Processes high-volume payroll for more than 39,000 employees and pensioners. Responsibilities include entering and validating employee data in Workday, processing payroll, checking statutory payments and deductions, calculating absence-related payments, and supporting ad hoc projects. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, organization, strong communication, numerical and IT skills, and the ability to prioritize deadlines and respond to changing workloads.
