Teams at Greater Washington Community Foundation

Leads the Community Foundation’s strategy and community investment portfolio, advising the CEO, overseeing grantmaking and strategic initiatives, and managing the Community Investment team and budget. Builds philanthropic, government, nonprofit, and business partnerships; develops new business; aligns regional priorities; convenes cross-sector leaders; tracks policy developments; supports board committees; and represents the organization with external stakeholders.

Provides high-level administrative and project coordination support to the President and CEO, General Counsel, and Executive Office. Manages complex calendars, travel, meetings, events, expenses, communications, and follow-up. Coordinates Board and Committee meetings, agendas, materials, minutes, and governance records. Supports contract and agreement tracking, document execution, legal documentation, and general office operations while exercising discretion, judgment, organization, and exceptional communication skills.

Provides legal guidance on contracts, nonprofit compliance, risk management, fiscal sponsorships, charitable giving, and governance. Maintains contract and policy systems, conducts legal research, updates templates, supports audits, and advises operations, program, and development teams. Requires a Washington, DC bar admission and collaboration with the General Counsel to address legal and regulatory matters affecting community foundations.
