Own the company’s IT infrastructure and security program as its first dedicated IT hire. Responsibilities include managing devices, networks, identity, access, cloud security, endpoint protection, vendors, compliance, incident response, backups, and disaster recovery. The role will build zero-trust architecture, SIEM capabilities, security policies, and certification roadmaps while supporting engineering infrastructure across macOS, Linux, Windows, AWS, GCP, and on-premises systems.

Create and optimize hierarchical layouts for superconducting device cells, circuit blocks, and neural-network circuits. Develop Python-based parametric layout generation tools, support post-layout simulation and verification, improve area and manufacturability, and collaborate with fabrication teams and foundries through tapeout. The role requires semiconductor IC layout experience, scripting, layout verification, parasitic-aware design, and successful tapeout participation.

Build and maintain core AI framework infrastructure, including Python APIs, graph execution, training workflows, validation systems, numerical parity tests, and reusable framework components. Develop JAX and PyTorch tooling, improve research-to-production workflows, and collaborate with researchers and hardware engineers. The role also involves API design, testing, documentation, developer ergonomics, and shaping software architecture connecting model design, simulation, training, validation, and hardware execution.

Build and own the software platform connecting AI frameworks to analog hardware. Responsibilities include developing a hardware abstraction layer, experiment framework, unified simulation and physical-backend API, analysis pipelines, telemetry, diagnostics, and comprehensive testing. The role requires extensive hardware-control software experience, Python expertise, systems-language proficiency, instrumentation experience, and ownership of APIs and abstraction layers. The position offers significant technical ownership and potential to lead a platform software team.

Develops and automates optical, electrical, and optoelectronic test infrastructure for cryogenic photonic networks. Responsibilities include characterizing passive SiN components, lasers, amplifiers, and superconducting photon detectors; automating fiber coupling and alignment; creating data acquisition and processing systems; documenting test methods; and communicating results to design and integration teams. Requires hands-on photonics testing, laser characterization, and Python expertise, with cryogenic, SNSPD, wafer-level testing, and database experience preferred.

Design and fabricate cryogenic photonic and superconducting devices, including SiN passive components and SNSPDs. Own end-to-end prototyping in cleanroom environments, optimize manufacturing processes, establish SOPs and Processes of Record, maintain PDKs and component libraries, and collaborate with testing, packaging, and systems teams to improve device performance and development cycles.
