The Assistant Director of Nursing supports resident care, staffing, nursing staff management, documentation, care planning, infection control, MDS, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance. The role assists with floor staffing, hires and trains employees, evaluates performance, delegates duties, coordinates individualized care plans, and ensures staff have necessary resources. Candidates must be licensed nurses in good standing with leadership experience, geriatric or long-term care experience, strong assessment and communication skills, and knowledge of nursing home regulations.

Provides direct nursing care to residents, administers medications and treatments, implements care plans, transcribes physician orders, documents assessments, and leads nurse aides. The charge nurse supports shift communication, staff education, infection control, emergency response, resident safety, and staffing coverage while maintaining compliance with physician orders, company policies, and regulations.
