Supports GovExec’s strategic communications, public relations, executive positioning, media relations, corporate messaging, crisis communications, and thought leadership efforts. The role coordinates media opportunities, speaking engagements, announcements, and external inquiries while partnering with marketing, editorial, research, sales, product, and events teams. It also tracks earned media and communications performance and monitors industry trends. The position requires strong writing, editing, messaging, collaboration, and prioritization skills, plus experience in public relations or strategic communications.

Conduct quantitative market research studies from questionnaire development through reporting. Responsibilities include testing survey programming, monitoring fieldwork and data quality, reviewing tabulations, analyzing results, coding open-ended responses, identifying trends, and preparing PowerPoint deliverables. The role supports multiple projects, ensures research accuracy, and collaborates with project leads while managing priorities independently.

Paid part-time editorial internship covering New York City and state politics and policy. Responsibilities include pitching, reporting, and writing stories; researching long-term projects; supporting reporters and editors; and covering in-person political events. Interns will also contribute to NYN Media’s nonprofit-sector coverage. The three-month role begins in late January 2027 and offers primarily in-office work with some hybrid flexibility.
