The Controller oversees APSI’s accounting and fiscal operations, including budgeting, cash flow, payroll, payables, receivables, banking, financial reporting, grants, compliance, audits, and internal controls. The role supervises a Fiscal Assistant, supports executive and board-level decision-making, leads Finance Committee activities, manages nonprofit financial reporting including Form 990 preparation, and collaborates with government agencies, funders, vendors, and external partners.

Provide outsourced bookkeeping and accounting services for multiple small-business clients. Manage transactional accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and organized client records using QuickBooks and Timeslips. Build trusted client relationships, explain financial information clearly, identify process improvements, deliver actionable insights, meet billable-hour goals, and support client retention.

Develop and grow an automotive equipment sales territory, build relationships with shop owners and managers, assess operational needs, present equipment solutions, negotiate pricing, maintain customer data in Microsoft Excel, and coordinate shop layouts and installations. The field-based role requires independent schedule management, regular local driving, customer-site visits, and travel for a 90-day training program in Nashville and Toronto.
