Teams at Gilmer County Government

Maintain facility security and inmate welfare by processing admissions, conducting searches and counts, dispensing medication, monitoring behavior, responding to emergencies, enforcing rules, and keeping records. Provide basic first aid/CPR, operate security equipment, and prepare inmates for transport.

Respond to fire, rescue, and medical emergencies; perform fire suppression, emergency medical care (EMT/Paramedic level), rescue operations, public safety education, and support/maintenance duties during assigned shifts.
