Develops detailed 2D and 3D product designs using CAD software. Works from sketches and specifications under engineer supervision and may travel periodically between manufacturing locations.

Programs and optimizes CNC machining processes for guitar manufacturing, including fixture design, tooling, machine setup, G-code development, quality checks, capacity planning, operator training, and preventive maintenance. Collaborates with engineering, production, maintenance, and new product introduction teams to implement safe, efficient manufacturing solutions. Interprets technical drawings, uses precision measurement tools, manages tooling systems, and supports facility safety requirements.

Leads manufacturing engineering strategy, process and equipment optimization, automation, cost reduction, CapEx initiatives, NPI, and manufacturability improvements. Manages manufacturing engineers and CNC programmers, analyzes production metrics, develops team capabilities, and collaborates with product engineering, operations, maintenance, suppliers, and leadership to improve safety, quality, throughput, and efficiency.

Supports business objectives through HR strategy, employee relations, full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, benefits and compensation administration, compliance, HRIS management, reporting, and change initiatives. Advises employees and leaders, resolves workplace concerns, strengthens communication and engagement, and leads process improvements across manufacturing and office locations. Requires strong relationship-building, business acumen, project management, and knowledge of labor regulations.

Develops manufacturing processes, fixturing, CNC programs, automation, product specifications, prototypes, and operator documentation for guitar production. Improves safety, quality, capacity, and delivery times while troubleshooting CNC machinery and production issues. Requires guitar-building and wood-manufacturing expertise, CAD/CAM and CNC experience, G-code knowledge, and strong collaboration, leadership, and project-management skills.

Joins guitar necks to bodies using chisels, alignment gauges, and a belt sander. Follows standard operating procedures, maintains quality and production standards, supports product flow, and follows safety and 5S protocols. Requires careful attention to detail, time management, teamwork, and the ability to stand throughout the day and lift guitars.

Owns day-to-day digital content for Gibson Certified Vintage, including product listings, photography, light video, social content, CMS workflows, product copy, and digital asset management. Collaborates with marketing, PR, internal stakeholders, and external creative partners on campaigns and special projects. Provides light design support while maintaining accurate, consistent presentation of vintage instruments across web and social channels.

Achieve the final finish on guitars by grinding, sanding, lapping, polishing, and operating buffing equipment. The role involves correcting surface defects, adjusting machinery, loading workpieces, maintaining quality standards, following safety procedures, and lifting guitars throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail, a steady hand, communication skills, and flexibility are required. Prior woodworking experience is preferred. Occasional travel to other facilities may be required.

Hand Sanders finish bare wood guitar bodies and necks by removing gaps, dings, scratches, and chip-outs while meeting sanding specifications and quality standards. The role requires maintaining production flow, handling up to 16 guitars per shift, following safety and 5S protocols, cross-training across sanding processes, and standing for the full shift while lifting up to 25 pounds.

Manages allocation and launch readiness for new and exclusive products, translating demand insights into global inventory, fulfillment, and replenishment plans. Coordinates supply planning, commercial, marketing, finance, and operations partners to meet launch dates, optimize sell-through, and protect margin. Monitors order intake, forecasts, available-to-sell inventory, fulfillment performance, and supply constraints. Leads S&OP meetings, develops executive insights, resolves launch issues, and improves allocation processes and automation.
