Manages daily machine shop and plant operations, including production scheduling, inventory forecasting, procurement, supplier relationships, quality control, customer coordination, employee supervision, training, and performance management. Establishes operational goals, budgets, Lean initiatives, and process improvements while ensuring production meets customer requirements, quality standards, deadlines, and ISO procedures.

Set up and operate conventional and special-purpose machines (mills, lathes, grinders) to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. Read blueprints, measure and mark materials, select fixtures and cutting tools, set manual machine controls, observe and adjust operations, verify part conformance, assemble components, and develop specifications from drawings. Work independently to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Set up and operate conventional and NC/CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce precision metallic and nonmetallic parts. Interpret engineering drawings, select tooling, perform turning/milling/drilling/grinding, perform precision inspections with micrometers/calipers, program NC machines, troubleshoot equipment, follow safety protocols, and recommend process improvements while collaborating with senior machinists.
