Conduct genomic and multi-omics analyses for rare and complex disease projects, including drug target identification, biomarker and diagnostic discovery, and patient stratification. Prepare, quality-control, annotate, harmonize, and analyze whole genome sequencing data. Develop and benchmark computational tools and Nextflow pipelines, support internal and external collaborators, research emerging methods, and communicate findings through reports, publications, and presentations.

The ARC Chair leads Genomics England’s Access Review Committee, overseeing decisions on access to National Genomic Research Library data. Responsibilities include chairing meetings, reviewing applications, managing conflicts of interest, ensuring quorum and policy compliance, guiding data governance and security discussions, supporting participant involvement, and improving committee processes. The Chair collaborates with ethics, research, science, and participant committees while safeguarding the interests of patients, researchers, clinicians, the public, and partners.

Embed security into product development by partnering with engineering squads, conducting threat modeling and design reviews, integrating code, dependency, and infrastructure scanning into CI/CD, managing vulnerabilities, and translating security standards into practical guidance. The role also supports the Security Champions program, mentors engineers, and promotes shift-left security across cloud-native applications and delivery pipelines.
