Teams at Genomics England

Design, build and optimise large-scale data pipelines and processing systems for clinical and genomic data. Work across acquisition, transformation, lineage, metadata capture and de-identification; implement AWS-based infrastructure, orchestration, observability, testing and automation; support data models, governance and compliance; collaborate with product, QA and engineering teams and enable ML and visualisation capabilities.

Provide clinical leadership and subject-matter expertise for genomic diagnostic services, advising senior leadership and supporting product/service development, clinical safety, incident management, stakeholder engagement, and national/international representation. Work closely with NHS partners to implement genomic diagnostics for rare disease and cancer and support research coordination.

Lead Genomics England as Chair, providing board leadership, governance, and strategic challenge to the CEO. Act as public ambassador, build senior stakeholder relationships (including government), oversee board and executive performance, and support scaling of technology- and data-enabled genomic services.
