Senior Patent Counsel will develop and manage global patent portfolios for protein therapeutics and platform technologies. Responsibilities include identifying inventions, advising on patent and trade-secret strategies, prosecuting applications, conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, supporting licensing and collaboration transactions, reviewing disclosures, managing outside counsel and budgets, and advising scientists and executives on intellectual property matters.

Leads a multidisciplinary wet lab engineering team developing bespoke instruments, robotics, automation, software, and integrated experimental systems. Sets technical vision, advances autonomous laboratory operations, partners with scientists and AI/ML teams, translates scientific needs into deployed capabilities, and builds a culture of technical excellence. The role supports biotechnology and protein drug discovery by connecting physical experimentation with data and computation.

Leads GMP Quality strategy and oversight for outsourced biologics development, manufacturing, testing, and commercialization. Establishes scalable GxP quality systems, manages CDMO and laboratory relationships, and oversees validation, deviations, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, batch release, stability, comparability, audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions. Partners with Technical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, Supply Chain, and executive leadership while building a strong quality culture and developing quality personnel.
