Summer research scholarship for currently enrolled undergraduates. Participants will contribute to computational biology and biomedical research projects involving genomics, machine learning, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, AI evaluation, statistical genetics, and pathology imaging. Responsibilities vary by project and include data curation, database development, software pipelines, model development, biological analysis, and benchmarking. The program lasts 8–10 weeks and provides supervised research experience at Garvan Institute of Medical Research.

Lead the design, development, deployment, and operation of a Gen3-based research data platform on Google Cloud Platform. Responsibilities include coordinating single-cell omics and clinical-data ETL workflows, developing integrations with analysis tools, managing Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, and CI/CD infrastructure, gathering stakeholder requirements, contributing code and architecture decisions, improving developer tooling, and mentoring team members.

Leads Executive Office operations, governance infrastructure, executive preparation, stakeholder communications, and support for leadership forums and committees. Manages the Executive Assistant, coordinates calendars and meetings, prepares briefings and Board papers, oversees action follow-up, supports presentations, and provides research and analytical assistance to the Executive Director. The role requires exceptional organisation, communication, discretion, judgement, and ability to manage complex priorities in a scientific research environment.
