Greet and escort patients, perform pre-exam workups, and assist one-on-one during ophthalmic exams. Use clinic computer software, communicate clearly, manage multiple tasks, work independently and in teams, show compassion, and travel to other regional offices as needed.

Provide perioperative nursing care in an ambulatory eye surgery center: admit/discharge patients, perform pre-testing, circulate during procedures, administer IV conscious sedation and medications, perform venipuncture/IV access, transcribe physicians' orders, monitor patient rhythms, and maintain documentation and safety compliance.

Assist optometrists/ophthalmologists with contact lens fittings and evaluations; educate patients on lens care and insertion/removal; order and verify contact lens and glasses orders; file insurance claims; schedule and call patients for pick-up or follow-ups; maintain inventory, clean/organize work area, dispense/adjust/repair glasses, and support satellite offices as needed.
