Hands-on Financial Controller responsible for multi-entity, multi-currency month-end close, financial reporting, regulatory compliance (FCA/ICARA/CASS), budgeting and forecasting, cash and treasury management, internal controls, tax and payroll coordination, and managing external auditors and service providers to support growth in a fintech, VC-backed environment.

Lead brand strategy, creative development and measurement to build a distinctive adviser-focused brand. Own brand architecture, campaigns, digital experience, agency relationships, and insight-driven measurement to drive awareness, adviser advocacy and commercial growth.

Prepare and submit regulatory and statutory filings (COREP, FINREP, PRA, BoE), produce daily management reports, support financial statements and management accounts, contribute to budgeting/forecasting, lead Basel 3.1 implementation, and ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Build and maintain backend services and APIs for a fintech platform using modern Python tools. Design scalable, secure systems, integrate third-party services, implement async and event-driven workflows, investigate distributed system issues, contribute to architecture and code quality, and mentor peers in a collaborative product team.

Lead the design, build, and productionisation of Fundment's AI systems and infrastructure on GCP. Define AI strategy, architect LLM/RAG/agent solutions, implement MLOps, model governance, IaC, monitoring, cost optimisation, and mentor a multidisciplinary team to embed AI into products and operations.

Lead and grow a small product engineering pod while spending ~70% hands-on building scalable Python backend systems. Set technical direction, mentor engineers, drive delivery from design to deployment and monitoring, act as L2 escalation for production issues, and collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Support.

Design, build and optimise a high-performance Angular frontend within Nx monorepos. Produce modular, well-tested code and runbooks, collaborate with Product and Design, mentor engineers, resolve issues and performance bottlenecks, add monitoring, and increase unit and e2e test coverage.
