Lead a software engineering team responsible for collections, recoveries, litigation, and investor management systems. Own complex cross-team delivery, technical strategy, architecture, engineering performance, and secure scalable solutions. Mentor engineers, resolve cross-team misalignment, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and promote effective use of AI tooling. The role requires strong programming experience in Ruby, Clojure, Python, or another major language, plus recognized technical authority.

Leads the evolution of design at Funding Circle, partnering with Product and Engineering leadership to shape strategy, simplify regulated lending experiences, establish design excellence, and build a high-performing design team. The role combines hands-on design leadership, coaching, hiring, design operations, commercial accountability, workflow redesign, and the application of AI to improve operational efficiency and solve complex business challenges.

Lead product strategy and roadmap for Funding Circle’s shared platform capabilities, including identity, access, customer data, third-party integrations, CRM, and engineering infrastructure. Drive discovery with internal teams, align product and engineering roadmaps, manage migrations, encourage adoption, and ensure platform users can ship faster and solve problems independently. The role requires strong technical judgment, stakeholder management, clear communication, and understanding of regulated fintech environments.
