Monitor cattle health and welfare throughout the feedyard, identify and report illness, inspect watering systems, segregate sick animals, and assist with cattle movement and shipment. Maintain horses, tack, and facilities; safely ride and handle horses; manage hospital cattle and livestock requiring additional attention. Follow Beef Quality Assurance standards, animal-handling procedures, veterinarian instructions, and workplace safety policies while working outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Provide hands-on veterinary support in a feedyard: identify/treat sick or injured cattle, manage treatment records, perform necropsies, train staff on handling and surgical techniques, maintain medicine inventories and animal health metrics, assist with facility maintenance and cattle sorting, and support the Staff Veterinarian and Cattle Manager in animal health programs.
