Leads and establishes Freeform’s turbomachinery engineering division, setting technical strategy and developing compressors, turbines, and pumps optimized for additive manufacturing. Directs aerodynamic, thermo-mechanical, rotordynamic, structural, fatigue, creep, vibration, CFD, and FEA work from concept through test validation. Owns program schedules, budgets, and technical risks while collaborating across materials, manufacturing, controls, and simulation teams. Recruits, mentors, and develops the engineering organization.

Develop FPGA logic components, signal-processing algorithms, and custom controllers for autonomous metal 3D-printing factories. Interface FPGA logic with embedded Linux applications, package IP components, and design FPGA block diagrams. Work with development boards and production systems while collaborating across software and hardware disciplines to build high-performance, reliable manufacturing technology.

Process Engineering Intern supporting metal additive manufacturing process development. Responsibilities include analyzing large in-situ datasets, executing experiments, evaluating material properties through post-build metrology, improving printing processes, and developing tool qualification procedures. The role requires experimental design, statistical analysis, Python or MATLAB, and collaboration with mechanical, software, and simulation engineers. This is a full-time onsite internship in Hawthorne during Spring 2027.
