Leads budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, financial modeling, and performance analysis for scientific and research infrastructure teams. Partners with senior stakeholders on investment, workforce, equipment, and resource decisions; translates financial data into actionable insights; identifies efficiency opportunities; and improves finance processes, reporting, and forecasting through data and technology.

The Science News Editor will research, write, commission, and edit accessible content about complex biomedical discoveries. Responsibilities include overseeing the writing team, managing news and features webpages, editing The Crick magazine, shaping social content, collaborating with scientists and creative professionals, and developing strategic media coverage to raise the institute’s profile. The role requires strong scientific understanding, editorial judgment, media awareness, and the ability to tailor content for public, scientific, policymaker, donor, industry, and media audiences.
