Teams at Foundation Fighting Blindness

Supports venture investment activities for retinal disease therapies, including opportunity sourcing, scientific, clinical and commercial due diligence, investment analysis, memos, portfolio monitoring, board participation, therapeutic landscape assessment, and donor campaign support. The role requires strong retinal biology expertise, therapeutic development experience, familiarity with venture-backed startups, data analysis skills, and excellent communication and judgment.

Leads fundraising across the Houston and San Antonio territory, with responsibility for revenue growth, donor and sponsor relationships, volunteer leadership, community partnerships, and fundraising events. Develops territory strategies, recruits and supports volunteer committees, represents the Foundation publicly, uses donor databases to guide outreach, communicates scientific information accessibly, and coordinates with internal teams. The role is remote from Houston or San Antonio and requires regional travel plus occasional evening and weekend events.

Leads fundraising across Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and Jacksonville, managing approximately $460,000 in annual revenue responsibility. Develops fundraising strategies, builds donor and sponsor relationships, recruits and supports volunteers, coordinates events, represents the Foundation publicly, uses CRM data to guide outreach, and communicates scientific information accessibly. The role is remote with regular regional travel and occasional evening or weekend events.
