Leads a controls support engineering team responsible for post-commissioned warehouse automation systems. Oversees technical issue resolution, escalations, resource allocation, documentation, system reliability, and customer satisfaction. Develops measurable cross-training programs across multiple controls platforms, tracks capability progress through KPIs and skills matrices, and mentors team members. Collaborates with software, mechanical, and site operations teams to improve system performance and support processes.

Provides L2/L3 customer-facing software support for client systems, including on-call troubleshooting, issue analysis, remote support, and implementing fixes. Collaborates with product and engineering teams to resolve complex, high-priority problems. Maintains software code and documentation while applying Java, database, web services, microservices, REST, and distributed architecture expertise in a high-transaction environment. Weekend shifts may be required.

Design, develop, test, and maintain distributed Java applications for warehouse execution and automation systems. Build RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven integrations, and enterprise components while contributing to architecture, reliability, scalability, observability, and performance. Collaborate with product, QA, infrastructure, and services teams; provide troubleshooting and remote support; assist with deployments and customer implementations. Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, continuous improvement, and occasional customer-site travel.
