Teams at Fortis Construction

Supports EHS leads and construction project teams by helping develop site-specific safety programs, conduct orientations, audits, hazard analyses, and worksite tours. Assists with OSHA reporting, injury and case management, documentation, violation tracking, safety recognition programs, and EHS meetings. The role is based on an active construction site and requires standing, walking, occasional lifting, and driving.

The Project Accountant tracks project costs, billings, change orders, accounts payable and receivable, job costing, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and audit support. The role ensures compliance with owner contracts, regulations, and company policies while maintaining accurate project financial records. It also involves coordinating with trade partners, analyzing discrepancies, answering accounting questions, and supporting project teams during monthly deadlines.

Coordinates construction projects from planning through closeout, serving as liaison among clients, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams. Responsibilities include document control, RFIs, submittals, procurement, scheduling, contracts, change orders, payment reviews, safety auditing, issue resolution, and closeout documentation. The role requires collaboration, organization, financial awareness, relationship building, and occasional driving on active construction sites.
