Fluence Benefits Overview

Leads certification strategy and execution for Fluence battery energy storage products. Manages UL 9540 and related certification programs, coordinates testing with engineering teams, laboratories, and certification agencies, and supports thermal runaway and fire safety evaluations. Performs compliance gap analyses, investigates test failures, drives corrective actions, tracks certification schedules and risks, contributes to standards development, and mentors internal teams on BESS safety and certification practices.

Leads systems engineering for utility-scale battery energy storage products in China, overseeing prototype integration, system testing, verification and validation, certification support, defect documentation, and product improvements. Develops test strategies, requirements, integration plans, and qualification protocols across electrical, mechanical, controls, communications, software, and cloud interfaces. Mentors engineers, supports recruiting, collaborates with laboratories and manufacturing partners, and influences global stakeholders. The role is based in Shanghai and requires up to 25% travel.

Provide independent quality assurance across utility-scale BESS projects in Europe, conducting inspections, audits, FATs, and ITPs; manage NCRs, RCA, CAPA; support supplier and contractor quality, monitor metrics, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with PM, engineering, construction, commissioning, and supply chain teams. Regular travel (~50%).
