Conducts molecular biology and immunology experiments to validate drug discovery targets in inflammatory and autoimmune disease models. Designs and optimizes biochemical, cellular, in vitro, and ex vivo assays using primary human cells, mammalian cell lines, recombinant proteins, and compounds. Performs flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, Western blotting, CRISPR, and compound screening; analyzes data and supports go/no-go decisions. Maintains detailed records, follows GLP and safety procedures, and contributes to research reports and presentations.

Develops a novel protein engineering platform through large-scale variant library design, construction, screening, and functional analysis. Responsibilities include deep mutational scanning, protein display, high-throughput sorting, sequencing-based readouts, library quality assessment, protein expression and purification, biochemical and biophysical characterization, workflow optimization, data interpretation, and scientific communication. The role provides technical direction as an early biotech hire and collaborates across experimental and computational disciplines.

Leads the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-native data infrastructure, platforms, storage solutions, and complex data pipelines. Establishes engineering standards for testing, monitoring, releases, and reliability; troubleshoots cross-system failures and leads incident reviews. Partners with infrastructure, laboratory IT, data science, bioinformatics, and scientific teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions. Mentors engineers, guides technical initiatives, and uses generative AI to accelerate development and data transformation.
