Provides charge nursing care for residents, including medication administration, treatments, care-plan implementation, physician-order transcription, assessments, documentation, and shift reporting. Directs nurse aides, educates support staff, maintains infection-control and safety standards, responds to emergencies, and coordinates replacement staffing during shortages.

Supports dietary and resident meal services by preparing, portioning, assembling, and delivering meals. Maintains food supplies using FIFO standards, sanitizes dishes and equipment, disposes of refuse, and follows food safety procedures, menus, recipes, and departmental policies. Requires reliability, punctuality, multitasking, teamwork, cleanliness, and a commitment to resident satisfaction.

Leads nursing operations for a resident care unit, assesses health status, develops individualized care plans, addresses resident and family concerns, ensures documentation and regulatory compliance, participates in quality assurance, and provides nursing coverage during emergencies or staffing shortages. Requires an LVN or RN license recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing, strong clinical skills, professional communication, and the ability to remain organized under pressure.
