Assists with meal preparation and service for residents by assembling trays, delivering meal carts, preparing and portioning food, managing supplies, and cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment. Follows menus, standardized recipes, food-safety procedures, and departmental policies while maintaining cleanliness, teamwork, reliability, and resident satisfaction.

Provides direct nursing care to residents, administers medications and treatments, implements care plans, transcribes physician orders, documents assessments, participates in shift reports, guides nurse aides, educates support staff, and maintains infection-control and safety standards. The charge nurse also coordinates staffing coverage and responds to emergencies while ensuring compliance with physician orders, company policies, and federal guidelines.
