Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Physics responsible for teaching introductory and advanced undergraduate physics courses, developing innovative instructional strategies, mentoring students, and conducting collaborative research, especially in nuclear physics, astrophysics, or astronomy. The role emphasizes undergraduate research, engagement with minority-serving institutions, and support for underrepresented students. Candidates must hold a PhD in physics, astrophysics, astronomy, or a related field.

Teach introductory and upper-division Computer Science and Data Science courses, develop curricula, conduct an active research program involving students, pursue external grants, advise students, participate in university service, and contribute to interdisciplinary and community engagement initiatives.

Manages the organization, preservation, description, and access of Fisk University Galleries’ paper, photographic, multimedia, and born-digital archives. The role oversees archival processing, metadata standards, digitization support, student and volunteer staff, usage reporting, outreach, instructional sessions, grant assistance, and professional development. The archivist also supports scholars, faculty, students, gallery staff, and the public while maintaining archival policies, preservation practices, and collection services.
