Teams at First Fertility

Provides coordinated, compassionate nursing care throughout IVF and FET treatment cycles. Educates patients, coordinates testing and procedures, manages treatment documentation and physician orders, administers medications and injections, collects specimens, performs ultrasounds and IUI procedures, supports PACU/OR operations, communicates with patients and care teams, and provides emotional support. The role also includes maintaining sterile areas, responding to emergencies, training staff, and rotating through Saturdays, holidays, and on-call coverage.

Perform IVF laboratory procedures including oocyte retrieval from follicular fluid, embryo assessment, zona ablation with laser, loading embryos for transfer, and cryopreservation (freeze/thaw). Prepare sterile culture dishes, maintain lab equipment and supplies, monitor liquid nitrogen storage, perform quality control testing, and report results. Work primarily under microscopes following strict protocols and, once competent, independently process and test patient specimens.

Assist with daily embryology lab procedures (media prep, egg/sperm handling, IVF/ICSI, grading, freezing/thawing), monitor and document embryo development, maintain EMR records and lab inventory, and support specimen shipping and quality standards.
