Teams at First American Title

Prepares and reviews tax provisions, federal, state, and local tax returns, reconciles tax accounts, researches tax issues, supports audits, assesses tax law changes, improves controls and processes, and mentors junior team members. Partners with Accounting, Finance, and external advisors to strengthen compliance and reduce risk.

Manages title insurance claims from investigation through resolution, including coverage analysis, loss evaluation, litigation strategy, settlement negotiation, court and mediation appearances, budget and reserve management, outside counsel direction, and recovery efforts. The role requires independent legal judgment, strong communication and organizational skills, a law degree, bar admission, and at least two years of litigation or claims-handling experience.

Handles real estate escrow transactions from account setup through closing and settlement. Responsibilities include clearing titles, preparing and reviewing closing documents, managing escrow funds, calculating prorations, obtaining signatures, recording documents, distributing final statements, and disbursing funds. The role coordinates with buyers, sellers, lenders, agents, and brokers while maintaining regulatory compliance, mitigating risk, and protecting confidential information.
