Teams at Firefly Aerospace

Develops, qualifies, and continuously improves CNC and KUKA robotic machining processes for aerospace composite structures. Responsibilities include toolpath programming, robotic simulation, tooling and fixturing, workholding, process capability, inspection, troubleshooting, documentation, nonconformance resolution, equipment implementation, and production support. The engineer partners with design and manufacturing teams to deliver safe, high-quality, cost-effective processes meeting demanding aerospace tolerances and schedules.

Coordinates procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, coating, and commissioning of ground support equipment for aerospace programs. Improves work-order processes, manages suppliers and schedules, supports make-or-buy decisions, reconciles design intent with as-built hardware, participates in design reviews, creates manufacturing bills of materials and RFQs, manages inventory, and dispositions nonconformances. The role works closely with engineers, technicians, welders, purchasers, contractors, and leadership at an on-site rocket manufacturing facility.

Supports the Human Resources team with onboarding, orientation preparation, employee record maintenance, HR projects, engagement events, internal communications, employment forms, and market research. The intern will gain hands-on experience across HR functions while maintaining confidentiality, demonstrating strong organization and communication, and representing Firefly’s core values.
