Leads the organization’s crisis management exercising capability, designing and delivering realistic exercises across Bronze, Silver, and Gold command levels. The role tests crisis response plans, governance, communications, escalation, and executive decision-making. It coordinates senior stakeholders, analyzes lessons learned from exercises and incidents, drives measurable resilience improvements, supports business continuity leads, and builds organizational preparedness through guidance, coaching, and continuous improvement.

Leads the FCA’s Threat, Detection and Response function, overseeing threat intelligence, security operations, detection engineering and incident response. The role owns the detection improvement roadmap, manages internal teams and third-party providers, develops cyber performance metrics, improves monitoring and response effectiveness, and provides executive reporting. It also shapes cyber defence for AI-enabled technologies and ensures alignment with NIST, MITRE, INFORM and NCSC frameworks in a regulated environment.

Conduct research and quantitative analysis across wholesale financial markets using large regulatory datasets, including transaction-level trading and derivatives data. Develop reproducible analytical code, identify market risks, evaluate regulatory outcomes, and produce evidence-based insights for policy and supervision teams. Collaborate with market experts and stakeholders, communicate complex findings clearly, and contribute to both ongoing research projects and time-sensitive market analysis.
