Lead the claims team while personally handling complex and disputed non-life claims from first notice of loss through settlement or denial. Make coverage, reserve, payment, recovery, and fraud decisions; coach handlers; manage complaints and third parties; monitor performance; and improve processes. Drive responsible AI adoption for claims automation, ensuring compliance with delegated authority, carrier requirements, GDPR, and applicable regulations. Feed claims insights into products, reporting, audits, and policy improvements.

Manage daily embedded insurance operations, including claims handling, customer support, policy servicing, carrier and broker relationships, risk reporting, compliance, underwriting support, and product development. The role coordinates with insurance, actuarial, technology, and business teams to improve workflows, launch scalable products, and maintain strong service quality. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, with German preferred. The position is based in or requires relocation to Amsterdam.

Build and ship full-stack features for embedded insurance products, including partner integrations, backend services, payment flows, testing, monitoring, and incident response. Support technical sales and partner integrations, manage AWS systems, use AI-assisted development, and own deliverables from design through production. Help shape technical architecture, roadmap, engineering standards, and reliable systems handling money, personal data, and compliance.
