Industrial Controls Engineering Interns support electrical control panel design, schematics, wiring diagrams, component selection, bills of materials, PLC and HMI integration, testing, troubleshooting, fabrication, commissioning, and field installation activities. Interns collaborate with engineering, construction, operations, and field teams while gaining experience with AutoCAD, EPLAN, industrial automation systems, engineering change management, and applicable electrical standards.

Supports electrical construction projects from planning through closeout under an Electrical Project Manager. Responsibilities include work package development, drawing and contract review, material takeoffs, procurement, vendor coordination, submittals, RFIs, budget and schedule tracking, quality control, testing, commissioning, documentation, and site visits. The intern gains practical experience in industrial electrical construction, project management, and construction coordination.

Support Felix Construction’s marketing and employer branding efforts through social media content, internal and external communications, photography, videography, marketing asset organization, presentations, events, and community initiatives. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and Operations teams, complete an assigned marketing project, and present results. The internship is based in the Phoenix office and offers mentorship and exposure to construction-industry business operations.
