Supports defense and national security startup programs through startup, mentor, and resource research; coordinates project tasks, timelines, and resources; assists with outreach, content creation, professional development engagements, and stakeholder relationship-building. The intern contributes to strategy and problem-solving in a collaborative environment while developing project management, research, and communication skills.

Reviews Navy technology transfer agreements, including CRADAs, licenses, NDAs, and research partnerships, for contractual, intellectual property, CUI, export control, and policy compliance. Documents deviations, maintains review logs and checklists, identifies recurring issues, and recommends improvements to templates, policies, and processes. The role supports timely, consistent, high-quality agreement review while coordinating issues with stakeholders and subject-matter experts.

Leads communications, outreach, content, and events connecting federal laboratory technologies with industry and research partners. Develops communication strategies, newsletters, websites, social media, success stories, award submissions, and engagement metrics. Plans industry events and represents Navy programs at conferences. Translates complex scientific and engineering concepts for external audiences while collaborating with researchers, government stakeholders, technology transfer professionals, and partners. The role requires strong writing, event management, project management, and familiarity with government communications requirements.
