The role requires expertise in web application security, OWASP practices, DDoS protection, rate limiting, HTTP, TLS, and network troubleshooting, along with project delivery experience.

Manage end-to-end execution of complex, strategic deals by partnering with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product. Review and approve non-standard deals, optimize deal desk processes, monitor deal performance, ensure compliance and revenue recognition, and implement policies and tools to drive efficiency and revenue growth.

The Senior Customer Solutions Engineer provides technical support and builds relationships with key clients, ensuring successful implementation of Fastly's products and managing escalations. They leverage technical expertise to drive customer initiatives and mentor other engineers.

Lead design, operation, and automation of Fastly's global edge network. Respond to and lead network incident resolution (BGP/anycast), build automation and monitoring, analyze traffic and performance, mentor teammates, and partner with engineering to improve network reliability and tooling.

Lead and scale a global Deal Desk to optimize pricing, discounting, and contract terms. Build and mentor a high-performing team, drive CPQ and system improvements, establish deal governance and risk controls, partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product to structure complex deals, and deliver data-driven insights to improve deal velocity, revenue, and profitability.

Drive new enterprise logos and revenue through full sales cycle ownership: prospecting, discovery, qualification, negotiation, closing, and account management. Build territory plans, deliver technical value propositions and demos, coordinate POCs, forecast in Salesforce, and accelerate customer adoption. Collaborate with Sales Management and Deal Desk to prepare proposals and ensure customer satisfaction while meeting quarterly bookings and quota targets.

The Manager, Cloud Engineering will lead a team of Cloud Engineers, focusing on customer success, relationship management, and operational efficiency while engaging with key stakeholders.

Customer-facing senior cloud engineer who architects and implements Fastly edge/CDN solutions, performs post-sales implementations (VCL, logging, image optimization), troubleshoots customer systems, recommends improvements, and drives adoption while communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Manage Fastly’s global partner enablement program by developing curricula and sales content, facilitating virtual training, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, administering enablement tools, and measuring program effectiveness. Translate complex cloud technologies into practical sales messaging for channel partners and account managers. Support partner ecosystems including VARs, MSPs, GSIs, and referral partners while improving certification rates, deal registrations, and time-to-first-deal.

Design and operate secure, scalable CIAM services for authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, and profile management. Lead complex technical initiatives, guide architecture across teams, improve reliability and security, and establish standards-based identity practices. Partner with engineering, product, and security teams, mentor engineers, document technical decisions, and participate in on-call support.

Serve as a senior security technical advisor for strategic enterprise customers, driving adoption and optimization of Fastly Security products. Build deep cross-functional relationships, resolve complex security issues, deliver tailored workshops and enablement, advocate customer needs internally, and mentor junior TAMs while improving processes, automation, and documentation to scale the Security TAM function.

Serve as Tier III escalation for Fastly security products (WAF, Bot Management, DDoS). Troubleshoot and reproduce complex customer environments, build tooling and automation, collaborate with Product/Engineering, author runbooks, and mentor Tier 1/2 engineers to improve incident resolution and product reliability.

Lead go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning for Fastly's security portfolio (WAF, DDoS, Bot Management, TLS). Drive product launches, sales enablement, competitive differentiation, compliance messaging, cross-sell narratives, content and campaigns, and public product evangelism in partnership with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.

Lead product marketing for Security and AI/emerging technology: manage a product marketing team, define GTM strategy, craft narratives and messaging, support analyst relations and sales enablement, collaborate cross-functionally on positioning, partner/channel GTM, and drive customer advocacy and public category evangelism.

Design and drive technical data security strategy across corporate and production systems. Embed data protection into system design, implement enterprise tooling (discovery/classification, DLP), harden access controls, assess and mitigate data risks, and translate governance/privacy requirements into scalable technical controls while partnering with Product, Engineering, Legal, and system owners.

Lead day-to-day order management and contract-to-CRM validation for signed deals, ensure data completeness and accuracy, clear exceptions, drive month/quarter-end readiness, partner cross-functionally with Sales, Deal Desk, Billing, and Revenue Accounting, and design process improvements, controls, and documentation to support accurate invoicing and revenue recognition.

Lead strategy and roadmap for Fastly runtimes (Compute and VCL), scale and expand execution models, define runtime primitives for AI-era workloads, align engineering and go-to-market, and drive cross-functional decisions to production.

Design, implement, test, and deploy low-latency network software (C/Rust/C++). Enhance and optimize protocols (TLS, HTTP, QUIC), build and maintain distributed infrastructure, collaborate cross-functionally, contribute to open source, and mentor engineers while supporting on-call operations.
