Supports a proactive safety culture in a production facility by conducting floor-based observations, inspections, audits, and incident investigations. Identifies unsafe conditions, documents findings, supports safety training and employee communication, monitors policy compliance, and follows up on corrective actions. The role spends at least 80% of its time on the production floor, works with supervisors and employees, and requires availability for first or second shift.

Leads plant food safety and quality assurance functions, including inspections, audits, corrective actions, food safety planning, HACCP and preventive-control compliance. Manages FSQA personnel, staffing, budgets, reporting, customer feedback, root-cause analysis, allergen controls, and continuous improvement. Collaborates with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, vendors, customers, and USDA representatives to ensure products meet regulatory, customer, and company standards.

Coordinates and maintains the site Process Safety Management program for ammonia refrigeration systems. Responsibilities include regulatory documentation, OSHA and EPA audit support, employee and contractor training, Management of Change, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, Process Hazard Analyses, safety assessments, emergency preparedness, corrective-action tracking, and coordination with refrigeration, maintenance, operations, contractors, and leadership.
