Teams at Family & Children's Services

Provide community-based case management for youth, families, and adults with developmental, autism, or serious emotional disturbances. Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Plans of Service, coordinate and monitor services, provide crisis intervention and advocacy, document case activities, build natural supports, and follow trauma-informed, culturally competent, person-centered practices. Travel within Kalamazoo County required; supervision and professional development expected.

Provide in-home parenting education and support to families referred by DHHS to prevent out-of-home placement or reunify children. Deliver evidence-based coaching, assessments, documentation, coordination with DHHS and courts, transport clients, link to community resources, and attend trainings and meetings. Work includes flexible hours, travel within service counties, and adherence to trauma-informed, culturally competent practices.

Coordinate child welfare billing, reimbursements, financial reconciliation, and compliance. Manage billing records, post DHHS payments, track contracts/invoices, support budget tracking, office operations, administrative support, audits, onboarding, and maintain confidentiality under HIPAA and child welfare regulations.
