Design, prototype, assemble, align, test, and debug precision optical and optomechanical systems for semiconductor lithography, metrology, and motion applications. Perform optical modeling, tolerance analysis, ray tracing, stray-light analysis, and Monte Carlo yield prediction. Integrate motion stages and metrology equipment, design lens mounts, source components, and collaborate with suppliers. The role requires hands-on optical alignment, testing, mechanical CAD, and rapid hardware prototyping.

Leads software systems for manufacturing, testing, calibrating, and provisioning semiconductor equipment. Designs automated test and calibration systems, develops C, Python, and Rust production software, firmware test modes, flashing tools, and test-station applications. Partners with manufacturing engineers, maintains coding and testing standards, conducts code reviews, and hires and mentors team members.

Lead the firmware team responsible for semiconductor vacuum systems, owning architecture and roadmap from prototype through production. Design real-time control software in C and Rust, develop Python tooling, implement safety interlocks and diagnostics, support hardware bring-up and system integration, build validation infrastructure, investigate failures, and mentor and hire engineers.
