Extendicare Benefits Overview

Serves as the primary HR partner for regional business leaders, advising on employee and labor relations, performance, compensation, benefits, policies, legislation, investigations, and collective agreements. Leads HR projects, training, change initiatives, and policy implementation while analyzing workforce metrics such as headcount and turnover. Collaborates with union partners and stakeholders to resolve disputes, identify organizational needs, and develop effective HR solutions.

Provide clinical education, onboarding, simulation-based training, competency validation, coaching, and mentorship for regulated and unregulated staff across multiple long-term care homes to support safe resident care and continuous improvement.

Provides meal plating and service to long-term care residents according to dietary needs and preferences. Assists with basic food preparation, cleaning dishes and kitchen equipment, storing and labeling food, assembling nourishment carts, and stocking kitchenettes. Follows food safety, infection control, fire safety, and departmental procedures. Requires availability for varied shifts, weekends, and holidays, plus the ability to stand and lift moderately to heavily.
