Supports production and non-production databases through monitoring, health checks, maintenance, user and security administration, backups, recovery, performance monitoring, basic tuning, patching, and upgrades. The role also interacts with internal and external stakeholders and requires experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, AWS RDS, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL.

Administer production and non-production SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments across AWS and Azure. Perform monitoring, backups, recovery, security/user management, patching, performance monitoring/tuning, HA/DR and replication. Use CloudWatch/Azure Monitor, scripting (PowerShell/shell) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/ARM) to support deployments and stakeholder interactions.

Lead technical projects end-to-end: define scope, create plans and integration roadmaps, run Agile ceremonies, manage budgets and risks, communicate with stakeholders, evaluate architectures and APIs, maintain technical documentation, and ensure QA and compliance while coordinating cross-functional teams and vendor contracts.
