Teams at Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation

Supports investment operations for a $3 billion foundation portfolio by monitoring cash activity, tracking capital calls and distributions, reconciling transactions and valuations, maintaining investment records, reviewing manager documentation, resolving discrepancies, supporting reporting and audits, and strengthening operational controls. The role collaborates with investment teams, custodians, fund managers, finance partners, and service providers across public and private investments.

Coordinates strategic initiatives across three grantmaking pillars, strengthening collaboration, decision-making, processes, and shared learning. Manages grantmaking activities including sourcing and evaluating grantees, portfolio oversight, funding recommendations, board updates, and analysis of grant outcomes. Builds relationships with internal teams, external partners, consultants, and community stakeholders while supporting change management, continuous improvement, and equitable community impact.

Leads talent and culture strategy across benefits, wellness, retirement administration, talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, analytics, and HR operations. Advises executives, oversees vendors and regulatory requirements, develops workforce dashboards, manages strategic initiatives, and leads the Talent and Culture team. The role requires strong HR leadership, benefits and compliance expertise, employee relations knowledge, analytical capabilities, and the ability to partner effectively across the organization.
